over thirty years, ACF  has been
implementing Food Security and Livelihoods, Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and
Hygiene programs in the Lango, Acholi, West Nile and Karamoja regions in
Uganda.
Job Summary: The Finance
Coordinator will ensure sound and transparent administration of funds by
providing accounting and financial management consistent with Action Against
Hunger’s financial management framework and local legislation.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Actively contribute to defining the
    mission strategy.
  • Ensure high quality cash management for
    the mission.
  • Ensure high quality cash management for
    the mission.
  • Provide financial and budgetary
    management.
  • Actively promote and ensure financial
    collaboration and coordination with mission partners.
  • Prevent and manage fraud and corruption.
  • Mentor and manage the Finance team.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Action Against
    Hunger (ACF) Finance Coordinator job opportunity should preferably hold a
    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, HR or related field
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in
    similar position.
  • Strong accounting and budget management
    skills.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Possess excellent influencing and
    negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with donor procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in
    multi-donor short term contract situations and ability to effectively
    juggle priorities to meet the needs of the mission.
  • Previous experience in working in insecure
    and volatile contexts
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze,
    synthesize and report in a timely, comprehensive & well-written
    manner.
  • High degree of professionalism, honesty,
    reliability, autonomy & strong sense of responsibility.
  • You are able to motivate and encourage
    others to deliver high standards of work.
  • Excellent communication and training
    skills.
