The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA)
is established under the PPDA Act No.1 of 2003 to develop standards and
regulate procurement and disposal practices in respect of all Procuring and
Disposing Entities which include Central Government Ministries and Departments,
Local Governments, State Enterprises, Constitutional and Statutory Bodies and
post primary training institutions.
Job Summary: The Senior
Officer Capacity Building will primarily implement the Capacity Building annual
work plan ensuring that activities are planned and implemented in a timely
manner.                        
           
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Work Planning (Contributing to the
    development of CB&AS strategy and schedule).
  • Responsible for reviewing impact and effectiveness
    of capacity building interventions.
  • Tasked with preparing and delivering
    capacity-building interventions.
  • Responsible for developing and
    distributing information, educational and communication materials.
  • Tasked with co-coordinating conferences
    and fora on behalf of CB&AS and PPDA.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the PPDA Senior
    Officer Capacity Building job opportunity should hold an Honours degree in
    Procurement, or Economics, or Engineering, or Law, or Education, or  Business Administration or Social
    sciences.
  • Full membership of CIPS or NEVI
    qualifications.
  • Credits in both Mathematics and English at
    O’ Level.
  • At least three years’ experience in
    identifying capacity building needs, designing training programmes,
    implementation and evaluation of training.
  • Good coaching skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good information technology/ computer
    skills
  • Competency in managing learning
  • Good at planning and preparing
    instructions
  • Presentation (large groups) skills
  • Excellent report writing /document
    presentation skills
  • Highly analytical Skills
