Job Summary: The Personal
Assistant to the VC performs all duties of an administrative nature, including
taking dictation, transcription, typing, setting up appointments, receiving and
screening calls, preparing correspondence and memoranda, and maintaining file
of all university activities and statistical data.
Key Duties and
  • Manage the VC’s agenda: organize daily
    tasks, schedule, arrange, coordinate and prepare the meetings, including
    daily planning of duties and responsibilities is of an organized nature of
    self and VC.
  • Set the tone of the office of
    professionalism in terms of workflow, appearance of office, appearance of
    employees and how one another interacts as a team and towards employees.
  • Be proactive in identifying priorities,
    emergencies and important issues in connection with the day-to-day
    business needs.
  • The jobholder will also attend to all
    incoming and outgoing emails, correspondence and telephone calls and
    ensure that it is translated properly.
  • Take minutes and type memos, letters and
    emails, and ensure its correct archive.
  • Ensure the organization of all
    administrative filling and referencing procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and
  • The ideal candidate must hold a master’s
    degree from an internationally recognized university.
  • At least five years of progressively
    responsible professional experience of secretarial / administrative role.
  • Prior marketing and communication
    background is an advantage.
  • Broad skills with computer productivity
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to build trust and consensus.
  • Age: Above 30 years
