About US:
Caritas Uganda is the Socio-pastoral and development arm of the Uganda
Episcopal Conference based at the Uganda Catholic Secretariat in Nsamba,
Kampala. Its Vision is: “that they may have life and have it in its fullness”
(John 10:10), and mission is “to work towards a peaceful and prosperous society
where social justice, love, solidarity, reconciliation and economic justice
prevails.” Caritas Arua, in cooperation with Cordaid, is preparing a
humanitarian response in the settlements in West Nile, focusing on supporting
the refugees and host communities in a selected area. The programme will target
the sectors of Food Security and WASH, while mainstreaming Protection.
Job Summary: The Admin /
Finance Officer will be tasked with monitoring budgets, procurement financial
management, project administration, payments, cash flow, accounting for the
whole programme.
Qualifications, Skills and
  • The ideal candidate should preferably hold
    a bachelor’s degree in finance or other relevant field
  • At least five years’ experience as
    admin/finance officer, being responsible for the financial administration,
    accounting, financial planning and management, procurement, financial
    reporting and budget control.
  • Computer skills to include working with
    financial administration system.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Possess a valid and clean driver’s licence
  • Flexibility to perform different tasks and
    outside office hours
  • Able to work under pressure, not a 9-5
  • Good English language skills
