About USAID RHVP Project:
Abt Associates is implementing the five year Uganda Voucher Plus
Activity (in its second year) which is increasing access to safe motherhood
services in private facilities in Northern and Eastern Uganda by engaging
private providers in contracts to provide quality safe motherhood services to
qualified impoverished women presenting a voucher purchased in communities..

Job Summary: The Regional
Continuous Quality Improvement Mentor Midwife will provide clinical mentorship
and technical support supervision of RMNCH activities in accredited Private
Health Facilities in line with MoH policy for CQI in MNCH.

Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the USAID Regional
Continuous Quality Improvement Mentor Midwife job placement should hold a
diploma in midwifery from a recognized institution - Possession of a degree in nursing
(reproductive health) or public health & population or its equivalent is desired - The applicant must be registered with the
relevant professional body with a valid practicing license - At least three years’ experience in
Quality Improvement approaches and training clinical service providers on
maternal & reproductive health programs/projects (with a focus on
Emergency obstetric care, FP and EMTCT/EID/HCT) with a reputable
international NGO - Previous exposure and experience working
with private health providers and District local governments is desired - A Trainer of Trainers in components of
safe motherhood services (with solid working knowledge and practical
skills) in the following areas: Emergency Obstetric care, comprehensive
FP, EMTCT and other sexual reproductive health issues - Prior experience in mentorship/coaching,
facilitative support supervision and use of - Collaborative approaches in Ql would be
desired Advanced written, presentation, and communication skills in
English - Ability and willingness to travel
extensively in the region - Highly dynamic,
self-motivated/self-driven, able to demonstrate high initiative with
minimal supervision - Knowledge and understanding of Eastern or
Northern Ugandan dialects (desirable) Gulu, Lira, Soroti & Mbale - Be a Ugandan national
