The Makerere University Walter Reed Project (MUWRP) is a non-profit HIV
research program that was established in 2002 as a result of a memorandum of
understanding between Makerere University and The Henry M. Jackson foundation
for Advancement of Military Medicine Inc. of USA (HJF). The primary purpose of
MUWRP is to develop, evaluate and provide interventions to mitigate disease
threats of public health importance to Uganda.

Job Summary: The Data Entry
Specialist (PrEP) will be responsible for assisting with the capture, and
storage of data (both electronic and manual) generated from the MUWRP research
studies.

- Tasked with capturing data, cleaning it,
and filing of Case Report Form (CRFs) and other study subject data
documents - Responsible for tracking of data
collection forms & laboratory results - A clear understanding of all the relevant
Standard Operating Procedures for data capture and storage at MUWRP’s Data
Management Center - A clear understanding of the current
research studies at the MUWRP - Carries out both manual and electronic
data capture (when available) - Ensures proper filing of CRFs and other
study subject data documents - Follows-up data queries until resolution
- Performs data cleaning as required
- Keenly tracks CRFs and other study results.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Data Entry
Specialist (PrEP) job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any
related field. - At least six months of relevant
experience, including data entry in a biomedical research environment - Highly organized and sensitive to detail
- Proven ability to work with minimal
supervision - Experience in use of data entry platforms
like MS-Access, ODK, Epi-Data , Epi-Info etc. - Fluency in verbal and written English
