Job Summary: The Finance
Officer will provide the general accounting support to the Sub Office focusing
on processing accounts payable/receivable transactions in PeopleSoft
Accounting System. The jobholder will ensure accuracy and timely processing of
the organization’s payments including vendor invoices, verification of
transactions for Sub Office payments i.e. vouchers, expense reports, receipts,
and adjustments in full compliance with the CARE Uganda financial rules,
regulations, policies and strategies. The incumbent will also be responsible
for building the budgetary, financial-management, reporting maintaining
sub-grant files and updated grants database.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The applicant for the CARE International
    Finance Officer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business,
    Finance, Accounting, or Management
  • Professional accounting qualification i.e.
    CPA/ACCA Part completion of at least level I is preferred
  • A minimum of three to five years’
    experience in financial monitoring, audit and management as well as
    organizational capacity building
  • Previous exposure and experience working
    with an International NGO and/or donor sub-grant programs.
