About US:
The Parliamentary Commission of Uganda serves the following functions;
·        
Appoint, promote and exercise disciplinary
control over persons holding public office in Parliament;
·        
Review the terms and conditions of service,
standing orders, training and qualifications of persons holding office in
Parliament;
·        
Provide a Parliamentary reporting service;
·        
Provide such other staff and facilities as are
required to ensure efficient functioning of the Parliament;
·        
To cause to be prepared in each financial year,
estimates of revenue and expenditure for the next financial year; and
·        
Make recommendations to Parliament, or with the
approval of Parliament, determine the allowances payable and privileges
available to the Speaker and Members of Parliament.
Job Summary: The
Administrative Assistant will provide effective and efficient administrative
support to the office of deployment
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
·        
Provide administrative services in the office
deployed
·        
The jobholder will manage records and file
documents, reports and official correspondences in line with prescribed records
management procedures and practices
·        
Courteously attend to visitors to the office and
manage all enquiries
·        
Carry out administrative duties, such as
drafting and typing/ processing correspondences and other office specific
documents
·        
Plan for, budget, manage and account for office
sundries, supplies and logistics
·        
The incumbent will organize and take minutes in
meetings
·        
Effectively and efficiently maintain diary
entries
·        
Perform any other duties that may be assigned
from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The applicants should hold Honours Bachelor’s
Degrees in Secretarial Studies, or Office and Information Management from
recognized Universities/Institutions
·        
Good typing and word processing and computer
skills
·        
Good office practice skills and tact
·        
Excellent written and verbal communication
skills
·        
Excellent customer care and client relations
skills
·        
Good interpersonal and networking skills
·        
Age: 21 years and above
