Engineering Manager
1995. CBC has two plants, one in Mbarara and one in Namanve, Mukono, which has
since set new standards for bottling operations in Uganda.
Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will implement systems and
best practices in asset care such as PFM/TPM - Ensure availability of engineering
services to Production Facilities at the Plant. - Ensure engineering projects are delivered
on time, as per the plan and budget - Conduct feasibility studies and make
recommendations to meet the changing needs of the business in the areas of
asset care - Assign, direct, and evaluate work of
employees, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff
competence. - Ensure proper controls are in place to
manage budgets and activities are carried out as planned to meet the cash
flow in operating expenditure - Ensure proper systems and controls are in
place to manage environment, occupational health and safety process. - Perform administrative functions such as
reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures and enforcing rules
and procedures.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold
a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. - At least five years of relevant
experience, two years of which are at a supervisory or managerial level. - Strong conceptual understanding of world
class asset care systems - Computer skills in Microsoft Office
applications and SAP - Excellent analytical ability and problem
solving skills, - Excellent oral and written communication
and interpersonal skills. - Must be a strong team player with ability
to work under minimum supervision - Must be able to deliver results against
key targets - Ability to provide strong leadership and
motivation.
