Rwanda and Dubai. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and
knowledgeable individual as an Accountant for our client, a manufacturing
company.
Job Summary: The Accountant will primarily be in charge of the
general accounting function including; 
maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and bank
reconciliations, inventory management, journal entries, managing accounts
payable/receivable , assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and
supporting  the accounting department
etc.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • The incumbent will prepare journal entries;
  • The jobholder will complete general ledger
    operations;
  • Responsible for monthly closings and
    preparation of monthly financial statements;
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet
    accounts;
  • Draw up monthly financial reports;
  • Prepare analysis of accounts as requested;
  • The Accountant will also administer accounts
    receivable and accounts payable;
  • Prepare tax computations and returns;
  • In charge of account/bank reconciliations;
  • Regularly review and process expense reports.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The applicant should preferably hold a
    Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting Option) or equivalent;
  • Level II 2 professional qualification i.e.
    CPA/ACCA;
  • At least three to five years’ experience
    preferably in Manufacturing or Trading Company;
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles
    and practices;
  • Working knowledge of local, state and federal
    laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation;
  • Computer proficiency in relevant accounting
    software, especially Microsoft Excel, Tally and Quick Books;
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills;
  • Excellent written and communication skills;
  • Good report writing skills;
  • Good problem analysis and solving skills;
  • Ability to handle day-to-day accounting
    functions;
  • Skills in maintaining and updating fixed
    assets register with assets coding;
  • Proven ability to thrive under pressure;
  • Good team player;
  • Good technical accounting skills;
  • Inventory management and controls.
