Job Summary: The Learning and Development Coordinator will be
in charge of planning, coordinating and implementing the activities of the Bank
Training and Development plan in line with Bank Strategic and Operational
objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Identify, analyze and compile training and
    development needs of Bank employees in line with the Bank’s business Plan.
  • Keenly review and develop training and
    development programs to meet the identified training needs, and
    participate in the development of the annual Human capital development
    unit strategic plan and work plan in line with the HRD work-plan and Bank
    Strategy.
  • Actively participate in development of the
    corporate annual training and development calendar, plan and budget.
  • Take part in the development and review of
    the Bank’s training curriculum for the different functions of the Bank in
    line with the Bank’s training policy and strategy.
  • Coordinate and implement the generic training
    and development programmes, training plans for projects and initiatives in
    line with the approved Corporate Training, and Development plan / budget.
  • The incumbent will organise, implement and
    monitor the coaching and mentoring program of staff bank-wide.
  • Develop and prepare instructional / training
    materials, visual aids and reference materials in line with the specific
    program objectives and contemporary trends.
  • The jobholder will support the bank
    leadership and talent management agenda with relevant learning and
    development interventions.
  • Evaluate and prepare periodical reports on
    the effectiveness of training and development programs; reconcile with
    finance and report on the corporate training budget performance in line
    with the approved corporate training budget
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Centenary Bank Learning
    and Development Coordinator job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s
    Degree in Social Sciences or any other Humanities course. Possession of a
    qualification in learning interventions will be an added advantage.
  • At least four years’ work experience within
    the HR management function; and with two years in Learning and
    Development/Training and Development Computer skills
  • Proven ability to conduct training and
    facilitation
  • Good report and proposal writing skills
  • Communication and Public speaking skills
  • Leadership skills and ability to coordinate
    multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent negotiation and organisation skills
  • Exposure in Budget preparation
  • Working knowledge of training interventions,
    delivery and methodologies aligned to contemporary trends
