Job Summary: The Youth-friendly Services Coordinator will
manage the designing, rolling out implementation, monitoring and evaluation of
strategies and priorities for Youth-friendly Sexual and Reproductive Health
services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Develop, monitor and review strategies,
    work-plans and budgets, through participatory approaches with the intended
    beneficiaries in order to enhance uptake of SRH services by the youth. (Planning
    and Quality Assurance )
  • Develop strategies that attract key
    beneficiaries as well as ascertain quality for SRH services within the
    districts of focus.
  • The jobholder will develop and implement
    concepts and activities that deliver health impact. (Social Marketing)
  • Design and coordinate implementation of
    systems & activities for identifying and sharing field success stories
    to inform program planning and institutional development (Knowledge
    Management)
  • Setup mechanisms that integrate marketing
    into strategic behavior communication within a typical urban, peri-urban
    or community setting.
  • Ensure that activities at all times comply
    with relevant policies, legislation, technical and ethical standards.
    (Risk management)
  • Work closely with community drivers of change
    to advocate for improved health services and to raise young people’s and
    community awareness about their rights to access quality services,
    mobilizing demand and action amongst communities.
  • Build and maintain advocacy and networking
    efforts within existing, previous and potential donors, ministry of
    health, district of focus and other relevant stakeholders implementing
    Sexual and Reproductive health activities and vulnerable groups of youth
    for the continuity of program interventions (Advocacy PR and partnership
    development)
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, annual
    and end of program/ projects reports to the supervisor, donors, ministry
    of health and other relevant stakeholders.( Project management)
  • Carry out quarterly program performance
    monitoring visits to the regional teams, implementing partners and program
    beneficiaries.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
    degree in Social humanities e.g. Social Sciences, Social Works, Development
    studies, Communication.
  • The applicant should be a versatile youth
    with at least two years’ experience working with adolescent health or
    youth programs
  • Possession of a valid national driving permit
    with demonstrated ability to drive is an added advantage.
  • Age: Below 28 years
