develop, coordinate and monitor implementation of Prepaid Card and Agent
Banking Strategy in line with Business Technology strategy, annual budget,
overall departmental work plan and regulatory framework. The jobholder will be
tasked with the growth of Agency Banking and Prepaid Card business and capture
the market share.
- Develop strategic business plans, budgets and
targets for the prepaid card and agency portfolios in line with the bank’s
overall strategy. - Keenly analyse existing agents and the market
potential for both prepaid card and Agency portfolios to ensure a
competitive and innovative selection of product propositions. - Develop a Business model for recruitment,
training, Activation and monitoring of both Prepaid and Agency customers.
And also Support business units in the identification of potential agents,
coordinate joint marketing activities and cross selling alternative
banking channels’ products. - Develop guidelines and procedures which are
compliant with internal and external regulations for both Prepaid and
Agency Portfolios. - Carry out regular business risk assessments
and institute controls in place to mitigate risks, monitor compliance and
safe operations by the Agents. - Drive smooth day to day performance and
operations of prepaid and Agency products – managing external suppliers to
achieve SLAs, and co-ordinating all internal activity. - Work in liaison with IT to ensure that the
prepaid card and Agency Banking systems are up and running 24/7. - Carry out back office processing to ensure
timely replenishments, reconciliation of suspense accounts for both
prepaid card and Agency Banking. - Create and Manage Banking Strategic
Partnerships for driving card usage - Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head
of Business Technology
- The ideal candidate for the PostBank Manager
Agent & Prepaid Card Business career opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in business related course e.g. Economics, Social Sciences,
Business Administration, Commerce and IT - Uganda Institute of Bankers Qualification is
an added advantage - A minimum of five years’ experience in the
banking industry, two of which should have been at a managerial level - Selling and People management skills
- Computer skills and report writing skills
- Analytical and having attention to detail
- Good presentation skills
- Broad knowledge and understanding of the Banking
practices, policies and procedures - Have clarity of the Anti-Money Laundering act
and other regulatory frameworks
