Roofings Group is a leading manufacturer of steel and plastic building materials within East Africa. Our head offices are situated about 6km outside Kampala city centre in Lubowa, along Entebbe road. Other group companies include; Roofings Rolling Mills (located in Namanve) and Roofings Polypipes (located in Lubowa).
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
The Sales Executive will be coordinating between the
factory and outlets
Market Development: i.e. acquiring new orders /
Market Follow up: Constant monitoring of
customer/market behavior and reporting.
Market Research: In charge of collecting information
relevant to our products/ competitor products in the market and updating
Constantly monitoring the set targets and working to
achieve the goals.
Follow up with the customers & the credits
pending collections.
In charge of receiving material requisitions and
forwarding for delivery
The incumbent will be making production order for
special orders
Preparing invoices and deliveries for standard items
and requirements for special orders once they are completed
Checking whether all product requirements have been
fully satisfied as requested by client and if not, advising means of satisfying
Assuring the best service to the customers
Managing all customer complaints and inquiries
Taking orders from customers
Guiding customers on product options available
Qualifications, Skills and
The applicant must hold a good bachelor’s degree in
marketing or business related field
At least five years’ experience in a similar
position preferably in steel or construction industry.
Strong customer care, communication, and negotiation
High computer literacy and knowledge of ERP will be
an added advantage
Fluency in other languages like Swahili or Arabic is
also an advantage.
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently
Good problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
High degree of integrity
Tenacity and persistence – ability to overcome
rejection and ‘bounce back’ from rejection with an optimistic, energised
Flexibility and innovation – confident in trying new
things and exploring new sales leads
