Job Summary: The Sanitation
and Hygiene Officer (SHO) oversees the implementation of programs at a Sub-county
level, leads 4-6 Sanitation and Hygiene Coordinators (SHCs) who work with many
volunteers to fight water poverty.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
The incumbent supports district leaders to establish/maintain
water sources.
·        
Oversees and manages school-selection for WASH
interventions.
·        
Guides the Regional Program Manager on staffing and
volunteer needs.
·        
Responsible for mobilizing stakeholders for best
program results.
·        
Ensures timely communication among staff and
stakeholders.
·        
Manages program WASH plans and activities.
·        
Organizes training of SHCs, SHFs) and (VHTs).
·        
Supports WASH Technician to engage WSSCs in their
WASH O&M activities.
·        
Compiles and submits monthly monitoring data
reports.
·        
Actively participates in baselines evaluation
surveys.
·        
Randomly checks on families and schools to assess
adoption of WASH practices.
·        
Drafts plans and budgets for his/her program.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The applicant should preferably hold a B.A or BSc in
Water Resource management, public health, Social Work or the equivalent.
·        
At least three years’ experience in community
development, or WASH programs.
·        
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
·        
Working knowledge of financial and people
management.
·        
Must be a committed Christian, able to work in
denominational diversities
