About US:
Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (ICPAU) is the national professional accountancy
body in Uganda, established by the Accountants Act. The Institute also has a
mandate to conduct professional accountancy examinations in Uganda. The
Institute is mandated to also:
·        
Regulate and maintain the Standard of Accountancy in
Uganda.
·        
Prescribe and regulate the conduct of accountants
and practising accountants in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Records
Management Officer will be responsible for managing the Institute’s records,
archives and data bases.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
The incumbent will oversee and enhance the
administration of manual records.
·        
Implement and manage the electronic document
management system.
·        
Maintain the Institute’s manual archives.
·        
Update and implement document handling policies and
procedures.
·        
The incumbent will oversee the archiving structure
of the Institute.
·        
Mentor and train the Institute’s staff on how to
professionally handle document management system /software.
·        
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Library & Information Science or Archives & Records Management or
closely related discipline.
·        
Prior experience in the implementation and
administration of both manual and electronic records management systems is
considered but not essential.
·        
Prior management skills
·        
Good supervisory skills
·        
Good negotiation skills
·        
Excellent computer skills.
·        
Excellent communication and computer skills;
·        
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
·        
Be team builders/players;
·        
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
·        
Be creative, innovative, adaptable and have a
passion for quality.
·        
Excellent command of the English language (both
spoken and written);
