Job Summary:  The Manager, MIS and Enablement will support
the operations management teams by ensuring that data is readily available,
analysed and easily interpreted, validate the MIS and ensure that any errors
are corrected, so as to provide proactive support to Operations teams to
understand gaps, opportunities, local activity etc.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
1.
Customer Service Management:
·        
Keenly track and monitor service failures and
support Management in addressing service failures through the relevant
channels;
·        
Provide analytical support to Service Managers
including analysis and insight into service management metrics that cover
Service Level Agreements (SLA);
·        
Offer communication support to all stakeholders on
service exceptions within the production area.
2.
Data Tracking and Support:
·        
Ensure the availability and updating of the metric
model by all Team Leaders and Managers of units to facilitate the collation of
data;
·        
Prepare and submit standard management reports and
graphics to the Unit Managers which will form part of daily department
production meetings;
·        
Offers technical support on the metric data tracking
programs;
·        
Provides daily input for departmental monitoring and
support; updating and distributing dashboards as required;
·        
Takes personal ownership of matters (queries,
complaints and/or suggestions) on behalf of the Manager Enablement &
Change, ensuring that  matters are
logged, prioritised, analysed and resolved through the appropriate channels in
an efficient and effective manner;
·        
Coordinate departmental interaction to ensure
follow-through and satisfaction of any information and enablement matters
arising (including queries, complaints and suggestions).
3.
Data Analysis:
·        
The incumbent supports department managers in the
refinement and interpretation of their respective metric data;
·        
Apply data analysis to identify and highlight
problem trends for management decision making;
·        
Escalate complex matters to the appropriate areas
for prompt decision-making; and follow through to ensure that satisfactory
resolution happens quickly.
4.
Budget Management and Cost:
·        
Responsible for monitoring adherence to cost
management targets in all areas of operations;
·        
Tracking of Operations Financial Performance (actual
spend versus budget), month on month per cost centre or enabler;
·        
Perform detailed review and analysis of Operations
financials numbers to confirm the integrity of reported results; liaising with
Finance to ensure that correct and reconciled records are maintained both at
Operations and Finance;
·        
Proactive tracking of cost to ensure that correct
cost is allocated to Operations Cost Centres;
·        
Work closely with Finance and Operations units in
understanding and breaking down respective budget variances.
5.
Resource Utilisation:
·        
Ensures effective, efficient and optimal utilisation
of all resources (human and capital);
·        
Come up with productivity and capacity measures to
measure resource utilization within the production area;
·        
Capacity management, identification of areas with
excess or shortage in capacity and coming up with resourcing plans to address
the gaps.
6.
People Management:
·        
In charge of the facilitation of a performance
management and career development culture through mentoring and motivation of
the MIS and Enablement team to ensure optimal performance and minimise staff
turnover rate;
·        
Provide the people metrics on cross/multi skilling
analysis to ensure that staff are well oriented across all operations
functions.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Statistics, ICT, Business or other relevant field;
·        
At least three to five years data management and /
or programming experience;
·        
Any qualification in a finance related area is
desirable
·        
Broad knowledge and understanding of the bank’s
strategic intent and overall aims;
·        
Working knowledge of trends and developments in the
industry and economy at large;
·        
Familiarity with the bank’s IT systems and
applications supporting the operations;
·        
Data storage and mining;
·        
Computer literacy i.e. proficient in the use of Microsoft
Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access;
·        
Excellent data analytical skills
