About US:
Restoration of
Agricultural Livelihoods in Northern Uganda (RALNUC) is a Danida funded
programme that is setting up an Agricultural Unit in Agago (RAU) to implement
the strategic intervention for agricultural production and marketing in Agago
District. The main target is to increase the value of the agricultural crop
production for the participating small scale farmers with 25% over a three year
period (2016-18). RALNUC will work with 390 farmer groups or app. 10,000
farmers in Agago District.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Provide overall responsibility for managing RAU and
implementing the strategic intervention for agricultural production and
marketing in Agago District.
·        
Prepare annual work plans and budgets.
·        
Ensure that the activities are implemented in
accordance with the given implementation guidelines.
·        
The incumbent will be tasked with preparing and
submitting quarterly and annual progress reports
·        
Request for and account for funds and ensure that
funds are used in accordance with the financial guidelines.
·        
Actively participate in the recruitment of staff
·        
Mentor and supervise subordinate staff
·        
Work in liaison with the RALNUC Regional Coordinator
·        
Work in liaison with Agago DLG about issues relating
to agricultural training, marketing and animal traction
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree
in Agricultural Sciences or similar.
·        
A minimum of four years’ experience in agricultural
development works, with two years’ experience in management positions
·        
Good mobilization, facilitation, team building and
communication skills
·        
Computer literacy skills i.e. Microsoft Office
·        
Fluency in English and the local language in Acholi
Sub-region
·        
Hold a valid motorcycle riding permit
