Agricultural Development Company Limited (AgDevCo) is an investment company
providing social venture capital (equity and debt) with a view of creating
commercially viable agribusinesses in the sub-Saharan Africa.
Job Summary:  The Senior Investment Manager will oversee Africa
Agricultural Development Company Limited (AgDevCo’s) investment operations in
Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Actively promote the organisation externally and
engage with potential and existing partners, donors and investors with
interests or business activities in Uganda;
·        
Steer the identification, appraisal and negotiation
of a portfolio of debt and equity agribusiness investments including,
origination and initial screening of opportunities and carrying out the full
appraisal by conducting the due diligence, financial modelling and preparation
of the internal investment proposal papers;
·        
Provide on-going management and business development
support to help investees achieve their business targets and preparing regular
monitoring reports to AgDevCo’s Senior management and the Board;
·        
Build and sustain long term relationships with
investees and monitor their social and financial performance.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a
bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Economics or related fields
·        
At least five years’ experience in investment management.
·        
Prior exposure and experience in an investment role
within an agribusiness entity will be an added advantage.
·        
Detailed knowledge, understanding and experience of
donor funding and development priorities in Africa and their reporting
requirements; and
·        
Possess excellent analytical, finance and
negotiation skills including familiarity with a range of equity and debt
instruments.
·        
Ability to develop and manage strategic
relationships with donors, organisations and potential investors
