Products (U) Ltd. was set up in 1992 as a small unit for manufacturing biscuits
and bread. A confectionery unit was added to this in 1998. To utilize the
abundant natural resources of fruits and vegetables in the country, Britania
Foods (U) Ltd., a modern fruit and vegetable processing unit blossomed into
existence in mid-1995. In late 2002, Britania Products and Britania Foods
merged and a new entity Britania Allied Industries Ltd. was instituted. The
Corporate Office and the factory remained in Ntinda Industrial Area in Kampala,
a contributory factor being the land owned by the company and available for
Job Summary:  The Marketing Manager will be in charge of
directing the day-to-day marketing activities of the organization and long term
marketing strategy for the company.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
The incumbent will formulate, direct and coordinate
marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working
with advertising and promotion team.
In charge of managing the company’s marketing
Responsible for developing the marketing strategy
for the company in line with company objectives.
Overall responsibility for brand management and
corporate identity.
Coordinating marketing campaigns with the sales
Actively monitor and report on effectiveness of
marketing strategies and campaigns.
Working closely with design companies and assisting
with new product launches.
Planning and implementing promotional campaigns.
Ensure the creation and publication of all marketing
material in line with marketing plans.
Maintain effective internal communications to ensure
that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
Initiate market research and carry out analysis of
market trends.
Coordinate and participate in promotional activities
and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and Production Managers
to market company products.
Qualifications, Skills and
The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree
in International Business or BBA, Bcom. Possession of a Post graduate diploma
in Marketing, CIMA or any other related will be an added advantage
A minimum of three to five years of professional
experience especially in the field of marketing.
Excellent analytical and project marketing skills
Good planning and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills
Broad commercial knowledge
Skills in market analysis techniques
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
High level of integrity
Excellent computer skills.
