About US:
Bicycles Against Poverty utilizes
bicycles to increase accessibility to critical resources, facilitate community
cooperation, and build financial management skills among low income
entrepreneurs. Bicycles Against Poverty (BAP) will have over 1,000 active
bicycle loans and will be adding new products to our line by September.
Job Summary:  The Field Assistant will support the
organization through the provision of timely logistical support, monitor field
activities, and maintain high standard of loan repayments among BAP clients.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
In charge of ensuring loans are paid on time and
clients are in good standing through working with Community Based Facilitators
(CBFs) as well as traveling to BAP communities for follow-up
·        
The incumbent will be traveling regularly to field
to collect reports and status updates from CBFs
·        
Responsible for implementing new mobile money
system, which includes training groups on use of mobile money, setting up
mobile money agents in rural locations, and improving overall system
·        
Managing program logistics including sensitisation
of communities, applications for bicycle loans, delivery of bicycles to office,
and distribution of bicycles to community
·        
Organising and implementing CBF on-boarding
trainings
·        
General program and administrative activities
including data entry into BAP database
·        
Routinely analysing current systems and providing
feedback for improvements to help BAP grow
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The ideal candidate for the Field Assistant vacancy
should hold a Diploma (minimum)
·        
A minimum of two years’ loan experience
·        
Preference given to those who have worked at SACCOs
or MFIs
·        
Strong business management skills
·        
Group management experience (Preference given to
those with VSLA experience)
·        
Past exposure and experience in marketing
·        
Excellent numerical skills
·        
Proactive and demonstrated leadership experience
·        
Ability to effective communicate, both orally and
written
·        
Computer literacy skills with proficiency in Microsoft
Office (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint) and Google Drive. Strong preference for
those with experience in Salesforce
·        
Fast-paced
·        
High degree of flexibility and ability to work in
changing environment
·        
Broad knowledge and interest in business and social
impact
·        
Willingness and eagerness to work non-traditional
business hours to ensure that the work gets done
·        
Fluency in both English and Luo Required
