• The incumbent will be tasked with
  acquisition of timely updates on SPEDAG INTERFREIGHT allocated Wagon
  arrivals and departures from RVR and share the same with the team.
• Ensure proper coordination and
  communication between Spedag Interfreight and RVR officers at the various
  locations.
• In charge of the collection of Customs
  documents accompanying SPIF imports on wagons and delivery of the same to
  the relevant internal stakeholders.
• Send timely updates of the Cargo tracking
  system on arrivals and departures of Spedag Interfreight wagons at
  good-shed.
• Work in liaison with the RVR yard staff to
  shunt Spedag Interfreight wagons to the ICD and other destinations within
  the set lead times.
• Work collaboratively with RVR for prompt
  availability of GIs / RCNs so as to facilitate immediate and fast movement
  of Spedag Interfreight wagons and cargo. For wagons / containers
  terminating at Mukono, timely updates to be sent out to the respective
  CREs so as to initiate the process of clearance immediately.
• Work closely with Road transport to ensure
  that containers cleared at Mukono are delivered to respective clients in
  the shortest possible time so as to avoid SPIF paying unnecessary
  container storage charges to RVR.  

• The ideal candidate should preferably hold
  a bachelor’s degree in Transport & Logistics or any other relevant
  field
• At least two years’ experience in a
  similar position in a fast paced reputable organization
• Computer literacy skills i.e. Proficiency
  in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communications skills
• Be a good team player

• Highly proactive
• Disciplined and able to work under minimum
  supervision
• Self-driven and assertive
