Job Summary: The
Procurement Manager will be responsible for Coffee Arabica procurement
activities for the organization. The incumbent will offer technical advice,
assistance and follow-up on coffee procurement, Procedures, and contracts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible
    for the purchase of high quality coffee, contact suppliers, and review
    offers and quotations.
  • Ensure
    fast evacuation of stock from the unit to avoid accumulation of stock
    during peak season.
  • In
    charge of planning and accounting for procurement funds to satisfy the
    requirement to achieve required volume during both peak and off peak
    periods.
  • Carry
    out market intelligence and report on price and other activities by
    competitors. 
  • Update
    and maintain ledgers for fund/stock on a regular basis and ensure no
    discrepancies.
  • Regularly
    review and advise on quality of Coffee and negotiate competitive price
    based on the quality.
  • Mapping/sketching
    out new supply channels so as to increase volume & quality of coffee
  • Perform
    any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate must hold a University Degree in Procurement or Business
    Administration or its equivalent in a recognized higher institution of
    learning.
  • At
    least five years’ professional experience in financial, administrative and
    operational aspects of agro product Procurement with especially coffee
    Arabica.
  • Good
    working knowledge of the buying- selling business with excellent
    negotiation skills
  • Should
    be an honest & trustworthy person
  • Good
    arithmetic and computer skills
  • Willingness
    to frequently travel/base upcountry
