About US:
North Star Alliance is building
networks of drop-in health clinics at strategic locations along transport
routes in Africa to stop the spread of disease in its tracks. Focusing on
high-impact disease and primary health care, our growing network of nurse-driven
clinics provide access to health promotion, prevention, testing and treatment
services to mobile and other hard-to-reach populations. Since 2006, North Star
Alliance has worked with more than 70 public, private and social partners to
build their network, which they expect to grow to 50 clinics by the end of
2017.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • In
    charge of the effective Management of Country programmes and timely
    provision of deliverables.
  • In
    charge of creating and executing project work plans and revising as
    appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Ensure
    service package and quality management systems are implemented by the
    Roadside Wellness Centers.
  • Responsible
    for the preparation of programme budgets and reviews.
  • Preparation
    of periodic and timely donor reports and for internal use
  • Creating
    and strengthening partnerships with government and other organizations
  • In
    charge of profiling the Organization among partners.
  • Representing
    North Star Alliance in relevant meetings and other forums
  • Resource
    mobilization through funding proposals and other avenues.
  • Perform
    any other duties which may be assigned by the Regional Director from time
    to time
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The
    applicant should preferably hold a Degree in Social Sciences, Community
    Health, Community Development, Social Work or other related discipline.
  • A minimum
    of three years’ experience in Project Implementation/Management within the
    health and/or non-profit sector.
  • Possession
    of a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) or Business Administration
    (MBA) will be an added advantage
  • Strong
    personality with good leadership skills
  • Ability
    to work effectively in a team
  • Energetic
    and balanced
  • Excellent
    interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Must
    be proficient in both oral and written English and Kiswahili
  • Computer
    and IT literate (Word, Excel and Internet)
  • Willingness
    to travel extensively within the Country
  • Ability
    to work with key populations
