Job Summary:  The
Assistant Manager Banking – Platinum will be in charge of  overseeing and controlling general
Operations  in the platinum section of Mapeera
branch, maintaining high end relationships, generating a database of
market   information on Platinum and
corporate customers  and confirming   that that all platinum section
activities  are carried out in line with
Bank’s internal controls.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • The Assistant Manager Banking – Platinum
    will be building and maintaining high end relationships through proactive
    anticipation and servicing of client needs
  • The incumbent will be tasked with the
    growth of the Bank’s market share through actively marketing and effectively
    generating leads, create and periodically update databases for potential
    platinum and existing customers and recommend financial solutions based on
    customer value in line with the set  
    targets.
  • Periodically generate a database of market
    information on Platinum and corporate customers to migrate to the offering
    and provide integrated financial product solutions, in line with best
    banking practice and identified customer needs.
  • Work closely with branch management and
    staff implement and monitor a system of ensuring continued compliance with
    KYC and risk management policies in line with Bank procedures
  • Plan, and implement customer relationship
    management training/ sensitization programs for branch staff in line with
    the platinum customer expectations, the identified training needs, and the
    Bank’s customer service strategy.
  • Carry out periodic visits/ meetings to
    achieve understanding of platinum customer business needs intended to
    build a satisfied platinum customer base.
  • Recommend, procedural, process, and policy
    changes required to meet platinum customer expectations/ needs and
    generate periodic status reports
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by
    the Branch Manager- Mapeera.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant for the Centenary Bank
    Assistant Manager Banking – Platinum position should preferably hold a
    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce and
    related fields
  • At least five years’ experience in the
    banking industry – 2 years as at 
    officer level and 3 or more 
    years at supervisory level
  • Skills in Preparation of  branch budgets  ;capacity to monitor branch budget
    expenditures and ability to Prepare monthly budget reports on expense
    accounts plus necessary recommendations.
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Training skills (development and delivery)
    and good presentation Skills
  • Excellent analytical skills (Cause and
    effect)
  • Good report writing skills
  • Leadership- be able to take charge of,
    inspire and influence others either individually, or as a team.
  • Motivation- self-motivated and be able to
    motivate others
  • Decision Making – ability to make
    carefully considered, but positive decisions.
  • Problem Solving- capable of  treating 
    problems as a challenge, understanding  the full nature of a problem and
    developing  strategies to reach a
    satisfactory outcome
  • Creativity and Innovation- able to develop
    new concepts, apply them, adopt new ideas and think laterally.
  • Broad knowledge and awareness of the
    feelings and attitudes of the staff and customers.
  • Have political sensitivity; recognise and
    understand the motives and objectives of others
