Summary: The Senior Geologist will be in charge of inspecting all tunnel
construction and monitoring the tunnelling site activities and will spend most
of the time at the site. The role requires an active relationship with the
Contractor, Consultant, UEGCL and UETCL to ensure the sequencing and quality of
work that meets the design requirements.

Actively monitor the excavation and .lining of the
Tunnels and Caverns using reinforced concrete and steel.

In charge of monitoring all tunnelling activities
to assure correct tunnelling sequence including; primary lining support,
additional support, waterproofing and secondary lining sprayed and in-situ
concrete; as specified in the contract documents, Contractor’s work plans and
bfest practice.

Monitoring the contractor’s compliance with their ITPs,
participate in witness tests and review points, inspection of equipment and
materials; seeking support as required.

Skills and Experience:

The Senior Geologist should hold a Bachelor’s
degree in engineering (Tunnelling, Geotechnical or other related field) from a
recognised university.

At least seven years’ experience in engineering
and construction on hydro power plants or major related infrastructure
projects.

Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) processes and procedures/regulations.

knowledge of Sprayed Concrete Lining and Steel Lining methods and processes
