Construction Corporation, a parastatal involved in real estate business has 5%
shareholding and National Social Security Fund (NSSF) holds 50% and the
Government of Uganda holds 45%. Today, the bank looks back with pride on the
business accomplished in the mortgage lending business. Through innovation and
placing emphasis on Honesty, Integrity, Efficiency and Customer care, Housing
Finance Bank is the leader in the mortgage, holding a 90% market share.
Job Summary:  The
Relationship Manager will support the Branch by providing responsive and
effective banking services to customers to ensure that growth of all business
banking products exceed budget commitments.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • The
    incumbent will initiate credit applications for new and existing customers
    by completing the documentation (including financial analysis) and
    submitting to credit for approval
  • The
    job holder will be responsible for presenting loan proposals to the credit
    committees for decision making and giving feedback to applicants in line with
    the lending policy and procedures of the Bank.
  • Actively
    monitoring and evaluating performance of loans in line with disbursement
    terms and conditions.
  • Work
    closely with credit to initiate recovery actions for loans in default and
    written off loans in line with credit policy guidelines and procedures.
  • Grow
    the deposit level of customers in the assigned portfolio as a way of
    growing share of wallet in line with set targets
  • In
    charge of mobilizing and sensitizing customers about Bank products in line
    with branch work plan.
  • Drive
    the selling of banking products in order to grow liabilities, assets and
    revenues in accordance with established targets.
  • Conduct
    effective relationship management through regular visits, timely feedback
    to customers and continuous anticipation of their needs with the aim to
    exceed their expectation.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidates for the Housing Finance Bank Relationship Manager jobs
    should hold an honour’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce,
    Economics, or other related fields from a recognized University.
  • A
    minimum of five years’ experience and demonstrable track record in the
    field of relationship management in a commercial bank
  • Possess
    excellent awareness of risks in the banking industry
  • Sound
    knowledge of all the bank’s products and processes
  • Detailed
    knowledge and understanding of customer needs in the banking industry
  • Excellent
    interpersonal and strong communication / presentation skills
  • Personable,
    self-driven, assertive and pro-active
  • Positive
    and flexible attitude towards change
  • Good
    networking competences
  • High
    level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Prior
    experience in managing a team is essential
  • Age: Below 35 years
