Job Summary: The United Nations FAO Logistics Assistant will primarily be responsible for all logistics coordination for its office.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Guarantee that all hard and soft copy inventory records are up to date and that Physical Inventory Records in GRMS are accurate and verified for signature by the FAOR prior to submission to CSF as requested.
  • Actively coordinate the logistics of project inputs delivery and develop simple records system to collate and file information on handover of all project inputs to beneficiaries or government counterpart for each project by the Kampala office or by Field offices, including deliveries directly from supplier to beneficiaries.
  • Responsible for custody of stores items in the Kampala office and maintaining stores of office supplies in orderly condition including: keep records of supplies received in store and issued there from; maintain stock cards for each item and advise procurement unit in good time of need for replacement orders.
  • Ensure that all fixed assets of the organization are correctly and completely recorded in GRMS and COIN, (additions, custodian, related project, asset identifier) and that disposals are correctly and promptly carried out in accordance with FAO procedures and donor requirements and that transfer documents are recorded in GRMS and COIN.
  • Update and maintain complete and orderly files for all fixed assets, including PO, Invoice, handover documents to custodian and final disposal. Manage and file legal registration books of all vehicles and motor cycles and follow correct procedure for legal handover on final disposal.
  • Assist the field operations and implementation of programme in all aspects of logistics to ensure smooth operation
  • Perform physical fixed asset verifications, including noting condition and replacement schedule as required by HQs.
  • Intuitively analyze motor vehicle movements in GPS reports on a monthly basis and report exceptions to management.
  • Monitor Motor vehicle maintenance costs and advise management on the expenditure trends.
  • Monitor fuel usage based on VIVO invoicing, vehicles logs and report to Management on average fuel usage of each vehicle each quarter.
  • Manage the receiving of all the supplies at the Kampala office together with the other technical persons or the requesters.
  • Ensure that the office building is well maintained and meets all the UNDSS standards

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should preferably hold a good University degree in Procurement, Business/Accounting, stores management, or a related field.
  • At least a year’s professional experience in logistics and stores management in a reputable organisation.
  • Proven ability to equip others with the knowledge in logistics and stores management.
  • Working knowledge of English and limited knowledge of any major local language. Knowledge of other internationally recognized languages is of an added value
  • Proven knowledge in vehicle fleet management.
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. Working knowledge of computer programmes (Like; Ms Word, Ms. Access, Ms. Excel)

Job Summary: The Socioeconomic Technicians/Enumerators will primarily gather socioeconomic data from households by doing interviews and taking farm soil samples and crop yield samples from households within specified locations in-country. The enumerators will gather information regarding household characteristics, agricultural management practice, crop productivity and various aspects of poverty and development, and occasionally help the biophysical team in data collection.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Contact individuals to be interviewed at home, place of business or field location by telephone or in person after conducting households sampling;
  • Explain survey objectives and procedures to interviewees, interpret survey questions, and conduct household surveys and farm measurements with the sampled households;
  • Intuitively review, compile, record, and code collected data from interviews or survey books to tablets before transmitting the data into Vital Signs server after the approval by supervisor;
  • Responsible for developing and submitting weekly plans and reports, and discuss with supervisor on regular basis about progress. Identify and report any challenge encountered when obtaining valid data to the supervisor;
  • Support the Biophysical team in data collection when socioeconomic surveys are completed within a landscape.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidates for the Socioeconomic Technicians/Enumerators (2 Data Collections Jobs) should hold Diplomas in Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields. A BSc degree in similar fields is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in conducting fields and socioeconomic surveys
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to learn new skills
  • The applicants should be skilled in the use of tools like questionnaires, farm field mapping, anthropometric measurements and GPS
  • Possess interpersonal skills to maintain cooperation with the field team
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours and spending a lot of time in remote areas as may be required in the field

The adviser must demonstrate exceptional technical leadership to strengthen the transparent use of resources and enable citizen engagement in planning and monitoring to produce results in WASH provision at the local government authority levels.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Support technical requirements related to all governance activities, including project results and deliverables, in accordance with project.
  • Take part in district based coordination, planning, and reporting meetings.
  • Support and provide mentorship to LCB and Umbrella Organizations in areas of governance and accountability
  • Actively collaborate with team members to identify advocacy for good WASH governance interventions and scale up best practices.
  • Foster and support partnerships among regional team, District Local Government WASH Team, and sustainability structures such as WUC and Hand Pump Mechanic Association.
  • Support and mentor board members of small town WASH to ensure transparency; accountability and good governance are practiced.
  • Assist and facilitate gender planning and youth involvement in WASH activities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should hold a Master's degree in a relevant field;
  • The applicants should have at least five to ten years of experience (depending on the specific positions), preferably in implementing donor-funded programmes in water and sanitation;
  • Significant experience in working with District Local Government and local civil society organisations;

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. Project Support:
  • The incumbent will design and implement effective work plans that allow for timely and ongoing progress review of all key outputs and financials; monitor and report on partner performance on meeting obligations of partner agreement including targets and reporting deadlines.
  • Work in liaison with relevant CRS and partner staff to ensure that the project implementation is in accordance with CRS programming principles and CRS core values.
  • Take part in the design of developing and testing the long term savings product and identifying partners for linking SILC members to this product.
  • Responsible for the design and facilitation of  training workshops for partner staff and field teams in integration of SILC with the formal financial system via Mobile Money systems in Uganda
  • Actively monitor partner and project activities and progress against targets on a regular basis. Analyze the information captured through SILC MIS, other Mobile Money component specific data and provide monthly trend analysis.
  • Send monitoring reports with recommendations for follow-up action; report and suggest solutions for any concerns about partners or project related issues.
  • Work in liaison with MIS, M&E Staff and partners to ensure strong systems are in place for the development of surveys and project evaluations for the Mobile Money linkage component.
  • Carry out frequent field level monitoring and providing feedback and support to partners on program implementation.
  • Monitor and manage expenses for the project, ensuring adherence to Mobile Money component budgets and compliance with donor requirements.
  • Intuitively verify that progress reports and financial reports are received from partners prior to report submission deadline. Review and assess information provided by the partner in the narrative and financial reports. Take follow-up action as required.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of all files, records and documents relating to the project.
2. Partner Support:
  • Introduce the new Mobile Money Integration with SILC concept to partners and do initial partner assessments to determine areas in need of capacity support with regard to Mobile Money Knowledge.
  • Steer the preparation and implementation of training and follow-up programme to all partner staff with regard to the integration of SILC and Mobile Payment systems.
  • Ensure partners are trained in and knowledgeable of all donor requirements and deadlines.
  • Actively support partners in financial advance and liquidation process, including processing requests for disbursement of project funds; reviewing and approving financial and narrative reports; and ensuring that partner manages and tracks expenses against approved budget.
  • Proactively seek out advice, support and any other technical assistance required by the partner to ensure timely, compliant and effective implementation of the project.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by CRS senior management to support the project or partner. 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the CRS job opportunity should hold a good Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Microfinance, Business Administration, or banking and finance.
  • At least three years working for a non-governmental organization or a reputable international organization preferred.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Oversee the mobilization of the young karamojong men and women to actively take part in the implementation of all project activities.
  • Organize and conduct training seminars, workshops and other trainings that are geared to achieving the objectives of this project.
  • Work closely with and link with other partners and stakeholders in the area such as the local entrepreneurs, vocational skills outlets, district extension coordination office, arrange sharing sessions with them such as quarterly review meetings.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of implemented projects on the youths and document these findings in an agreed format.
  • Work with the project manager to make monthly, quarterly, mid and end of year progress reports

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The candidates must hold relevant qualifications in any of the following fields; agriculture extension, entrepreneurial skills development, social sciences, development studies.
  • Additional qualifications in project planning and management, monitoring and evaluation and previous work experience with youth development programs is an added advantage. A valid riding license is a requirement.
  • A minimum of two to three years’ work experience in similar positions.

Job Summary: The CEDP Project Database Administrator will be offering technical operational database Management services to the organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Well-developed secure and interoperable databases are developed that meet the regulatory national and international standards
