• Guarantees that all funds allocated to the
  project, and any other income, are properly recorded and accounted for;
• Performs all transactions relating to cash
  and bank, monthly cash book and ledger reconciliation statements;
• Intuitively checks the coding of
  contractor and consultant payment certificates and makes payment within
  the contractual timeframe;
• Monitors input data to the several cost
  centres as respects their completeness, accuracy, timeliness and resolves
  shortcomings with the responsible staff;
• Compiles and submits monthly accounting
  information as required;
• Offers timely and accurate accounting
  information to the executing and funding agencies as required;
• Maintains the fixed assets register for
  the project assets and accounts for all acquisitions and disposals;
• Ensures that current assets of the project
  are properly stored and accounted for;
• Arranges prompt payment of utility and
  other invoices relating to the day to day running of the project offices;
• Significantly contributes to the project’s
  quarterly report and prepares such other reports as may be required by the
  supervisor(s),
• Performs such other related duties as may
  be assigned by the supervisor(s) from time to time.

• The applicant must possess an Honours
  Degree in Economics, Finance, Banking or Business Administration obtained
  from a recognized institution of higher learning
• The candidate must also be a fully
  registered member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of
  Uganda (ICPU)
• A minimum of five (05) years’ working
  experience in accounting obtained from the private and / or public sector.
