About UKS: 
The Uganda
Kolping Society (UKS) is a Catholic Social Action Organisation which is
part of the International Kolping Society (IKS), based in Cologne Germany and
founded by Fr. Adolph Kolping. It is a worldwide network of Kolping families
organised variably at Local, Regional and International levels. UKS was
ratified by the International Convention held at Innsbruck as a National
Organization in 1982.
Key Duties &
Responsibilities:
  • Carry out promotion duties in the zone.
  • Educate Local Kolping Family (LKF) members on
    objectives and programme of UKS through visits, meetings and seminars.
  • Connect LKFs and the National Office through
    meetings and regular (monthly) reports.
  • Identify new areas and establish therein new
    Local Kolping Families.
  • Strengthen and consolidate old and weak Local
    Kolping Families.
Qualifications, Skills &
Experience:
  • The candidate should possess a Bachelor of Arts
    Degree in Social Sciences, Philosophy, Development Studies, SWASA,
    Community Education, Education or any other related field from a reputable
    Institution.
  • Three or more years experience in community
    development.
  • Proficiency in mobilization with proven
    effective communication skills
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint
    etc)
  • Capacity to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Should be coming from the area of the field or
    able to speak Lusoga and Luganda local languages
Age limit: 22 — 45 years.
