Job Summary:
The Service Technician
(Stabber) should be able to run power tongs, at the beginning with the
supervision of senior Technician or Crew Leader (24-50; 16-25; 14-50; 7.6-30
with A-Q-Tork System,5.5-15 with A-Q-Tork System; bottom hole assembly make-up,
power units (6 Cylinder Diesel Power Unit spring start or electric battery
start); Electric Power Unit, tubular handling equipment (Elevator, Spider,
Single JNT Elevator, Hand Slips, Stabbing Guide, Safety Clamp, Inflatable
Thread protector, Fill – Up and Circulating Tool (Internal and External) and
basic maintenance on all this equipment’s.



Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Take part in system testing and field
    installations ensuring operations are performed successfully to the
    contracted specification.
  • Work with others to plan and construct
    solutions to meet client requirements in compliance with industry
    standards.
  • Ensuring that they are familiar and
    confident in performing all “field operations” in advance of being
    required to perform the actual “field operations”. Any deficiencies
    identified are to be reported in a timely manner to ensure all “field
    operations” are performed successfully to the contracted specification.
  • Ensuring he participates in Projects to
    Operations handover, evaluating the content of any Rig Book and or
    Procedures and Work Instructions and ensuring any deficiencies are noted
    and highlighted.
  • Safety, Integrity and Security of all
    equipment used or delivered for “field operations”, he/she is also
    responsible for ensuring all equipment is returned and any damages or
    shortages reported to the Company Man and PE prior to back-loading and
    shipment.
  • Any other delegated responsibilities as
    instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and
    efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction
    is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfill these.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The candidate should hold and SVQ Level
    2, HNC, HND, Degree, in an engineering discipline.
  • 10 years of hands on experience a must
    in mechanical, electrical, optical or software
    Electronic, Electrical or Optical Engineering discipline
  • Background in onshore/offshore
    environment and activities
