Support Engineer
support and maintenance within the organization’s Desktop Computing
environment. This includes: installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and
upgrading software on supported devices (Laptops, Desktop, Printers, Scanners,
IP Phones, Projects, and Video Conferencing). The engineer is expected to use a
combination of remote and physical means to support end users and ensure
closure of incidents within SLA targets
Support Requirement:
- Ensure desktop
computers are connected to Active Directory, file servers, email servers,
application servers, etc. - Diagnose and quickly
resolve a wide range of Windows applications and networking problems to
help minimize downtime - Troubleshooting
network connectivity in a LAN/WAN environment - Requesting and
coordinating vendor support - Install, upgrade,
support and troubleshoot computer hardware and any
equipment
- Performs general
preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any
other authorized peripheral equipment
- The candidate should possess
good working technical knowledge of current Internet technologies and
protocols like DNS DHCP, TCP/IP, Active Directory, - Ability to operate
tools, components and peripheral accessories. - Windows XP, Windows 7,
Windows 8 experience - Microsoft Office 2007,
Office 2010, 2013 experience - Self-confidence and
interpersonal skills - Analytical and problem
solving skills - Good communication
(both verbal and written) skills - Able to operate with
minimal supervision - Able to manage time
