Job Summary: The job holder will plan, direct, monitor and coordinate the operations
of the company.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
  • Formulating policies,
    managing daily operations, planning the use of materials and human
    resources.
  • Overseeing purchasing and
    administrative services.
  • Identify, develop and
    direct the implementation of business strategy.
  • Plan and direct the organization’s
    activities to achieve stated / agreed targets and standards for financial
    and trading performance, quality, culture and legislative adherence.
  • Recruit, select and
    develop executive team members
  • Direct functions and
    performance via the executive team.
  • Maintain and develop
    organizational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all
    staff customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies
  • Report to the Board of Directors
    on organizational plans and performance.
  • Execute the
    responsibilities of a company director according lawful and ethical
    standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant should
    possess an MBA with a first degree in law or accounting and/or any other business
    related course.
  • At least six years work
    experience in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry in a similar or
    managerial role.
  • High degree of integrity,
    self driven, well exposed, a leader with good people skills
  • An individual capable of
    advising and guiding the Board or all matters of business
  • The suitable candidate should
    be able to steer, guide and manage a large workforce and make them achieve
    results.
  • Highly result-oriented and
    capable of taking the company to a level of an ISO (International
    Standards of Organizations).
  • The individual must be
    able to put in place risk management systems to detect and eliminate
    fraud.
  • Ability to analyse
    company’s financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and
    compliance with budgets.
  • Ability to plan, organize
    and direct operations of the company on a daily basis.
  • Strong entrepreneurial focus
    and bottom -line orientation.
  • Strong verbal and written
    communication aids.
  • Strong organisational and
    multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal,
    management and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under
    pressure and meet deadlines as required.
  • Attention to detail and
    commitment to accurate results.
