Insurance Company Jobs – Assistant Operations Manager

A very fast growing insurance Company in Uganda is recruiting the
following;
Job Title: Assistant Operations
Manager
Duty Station: Kampala,
Uganda



Key Duties &
Responsibilities:
  • Coordination and Supervision:  You will be required to be stress
    tolerance, coordinate, and monitor the workings of various departments in
    the Company. 50% of your work will be in our branches in the Countryside.
  • Financial: You will be
    required to utilize financial data to improve profitability. Prepare and
    control operational budgets. Control inventory. Plan effective strategies
    for the financial well being of the company.
  • Best Practices:  You will
    be required to improve processes and policies in support of the company
    goals and policies. Formulate and
    implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to
    maximize output and production. And ensure that company rules, regulations
    and procedures are maintained.
  • Human Resources:  You will be required to work with the
    human resources to organize recruitment and placement of required
    staff. Establish organizational structures. Delegate tasks and
    accountabilities. Establish work schedules. Monitor and evaluate
    performance.
  • Production: You will be
    required to coordinate and monitor the work of various branches involved
    in production. Manage maintenance
    of equipment and machinery. Provide technical support where necessary.
  • Communication: You will be
    required to monitor and improve the efficiency of support services such as
    IT, HR, Accounts and Finance.
    Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions.
  • Sales, Marketing and Customer Service:
    You will manage customer support. Plan and support sales and marketing
    activities.
  • Strategic Input: You will
    liaise with top management. Assist in the development of strategic plans
    for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans.



Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s
    degree in any development related field (social sciences, development
    studies, management, education, agriculture or public health). Masters degree is an advantage.
  • Three to seven years work experience with proof
    of track record (A thorough understanding of Insurance operation will be
    an advantage)
