About Busitema:
Busitema University is a Ugandan
university established by Statutory Instrument No. 22, 2007 enacted by
Parliament on 10th May 2007.  The University holds a pivotal and
challenging responsibility as the only public University in the Eastern region
to play a major role in its development. Busitema University offers a variety
of unique choices to ensure that a student follows a rewarding academic path
according to their interests and capabilities.
In addition to academics, students have opportunities to develop new
relationships, many of which will last a lifetime. Leadership capacity building
is prioritized so as to prepare students to play leadership roles in society.
Recreational activities are also promoted.

Job Summary: The Human
Resource Officer will offer professional and administrative support in the
recruitment, selection and deployment of staff and ensures that the University
has a reliable and robust Human Resource Information system.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The HR Officer should hold a Bachelor’s
    Degree from a recognized institution and Masters Degree in any of the following;
    Human Resources Management, Industrial and Organizational Psychology,
    Management and Organizational Development, Public Administration and
    Business Administration (Human Resources Management option) from a
    recognized institution.
  • The Job holder should possess at least
    five (5) years experience in an organization of similar reputation.
  • Computer literacy i.e. knowledge of office
    applications is a requirement.
