Job
Summary:
The Business
Development Manager will
be responsible for the realization of business opportunities in the Agro
sector in Uganda. The Role will be responsible for the preparation of
business and strategic plans for the opportunities identified in order to
obtain approval to invest.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify
    business opportunities in the Agro sector.
  • Investigate
    any existing projects identified with a view of
    commercialization.                  
  • Prepare
    feasibility studies, business and strategic plans for the identified
    opportunities.
  • Present
    the feasibility studies, business plans and budgets to the respective
    boards for possible investment/implementation.
  • Assist
    with the identification and recruitment of resources to manage the
    implementation of the commercial ventures.
  • Analyze
    business/market trends, product line development, changes in future
    demand, competition and contacts and advice relevant sector heads.
  • Overall
    development and coordination of the implementation of the Group’s strategy
    in Uganda.
 Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    applicant should have an Undergraduate and/or Masters Degree in a Business
    Related Field.
  • At
    least ten (10) years working experience of which 4 years should have been
    in the food and beverage sector or FMCG environment.
  • Good
    analytical skills.
  • Good
    working knowledge of Financial and Marketing Management.
  • Good
    working knowledge of project and organizational management.
  • Good
    leadership skills with proven track record of organizational success.
  • Strong
    interpersonal skills and ability to inspire teams.
  • Proficiency
    in computer application systems.
  • Strong
    mentoring skills with proven record of staff development and continuous
    improvement.
  • Excellent
    communication skills.
