Job Summary:  The Radio Operator will be responsible for
the radio communication between vehicles and staff while traveling in Karamoja
Region
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain
    communications between the base and vehicles travelling in the region. Tracking
    and monitoring movements.
  • Reporting
    any incidents involving staff travelling in the field to the Security
    Officer and management with a view to activating any emergency procedures
    and responses.
  • Maintain
    Emergency communication equipment.
  • Ensure
    training of staff on World Vision emergency radio communication and
    security procedures
  • Assist
    the Security officer in the security oversight role. 
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • A
    minimum of a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, information
    science or any development discipline. 
  • Should
    have a minimum of three years field experience in field based radio
    communication
  • Must
    be able to work in a team and be prepared to learn and train subordinates.
  • A
    mature and committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities
