Job Summary: The Child
Rights Governance Advisor will play a role of direction and coordination of the
CRG programming section. As a member of the Extended Senior Management Team in
Uganda, the CRG Advisor will be charged with the development of high quality
innovative programmes that deliver immediate and lasting change for children
while monitoring the quality of implementation of the CRG programme and its
activities. The advisor will also play a lead role in advocacy priorities for
the CRG prgramme area and participating in advocacy at national level.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • A
    minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, social work and social
    administration, development studies, law, emergency and disaster
    management or any relevant field.
  • Post
    Graduate training in Project Management, Community Development and
    Monitoring and Evaluation is an added advantage.
  • At
    least 8 years experience in implementing programmes with at least 3 years
    at management level in an International NGO.
  • Knowledge
    of approaches to Child Participation, Child Rights Programing, Partnership
    Management, Programme Integration, Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Financial
    planning and budget management skills.
  • Proposal
    writing and development and Intuitive analytical skills are a must.
  • Demonstrated
    knowledge of International and local frameworks relating to their thematic
    area.
  • Cultural
    awareness and ability to work well in an international environment.
