Job Title: Laboratory Technicians (02 positions)

About Us:
Rakai Health Sciences Program is a bio-medical research and service delivery collaborative initiative located in Rakai district, South Western Uganda.
It strives to improve health outcomes of populations through a combination of community-based research, curative services, and prevention strategies. It is based at the Uganda Virus Research Institute- Entebbe and Kalisizo in Rakai District.
Job Purpose: The Laboratory Technician will be involved in all Laboratory procedures in the RHSP field Laboratory at Kalisizo Station. He/ She will be required to work under Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP) guidelines.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The successful candidate should possess diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution with a bias in hematology/ chemistry
· He/should have at least 2 years experience of at least 2 years in a large laboratory setting.
· The Person should be:
· Pleasant, social, hardworking, flexible, with a spirit of team work/ building.
· With good interpersonal skills, and high integrity.
· Fluent in English (spoken and written).
· Self-motivated and able to work under minimum supervision.
· Willingness to work and reside in a rural setting – Rakai District.
· Willing and ready to work for longer hours.
