Location: Kampala, Uganda
Job Summary: To direct, control and execute strategic marketing and communications plans for Uganda Development Bank Ltd that will lead to the growth of the brand, corporate image and ultimately achieve the mission of the bank.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Responsible for the development and implementation of the brand strategy to raise brand awareness hence promoting the bank’s visibility, identity and presence.
·         Champion an effective marketing function within Uganda Development Bank Ltd, providing the necessary technical leadership & support to the bank.
·         Co-ordinate the planning, development and execution of Uganda Development Bank’s advertising activities with the advertising agencies.
·         Develop and revise marketing plans through analyzing customer preferences, trends, profiles and identifying factors that influence or determine customer behavior in order to
advise management on marketing trends and issues.
·         Building customer relationships for both existing customers and prospective clients for effective customer retention management,
·         Develop product marketing S support initiatives, segmentation propositions, market research frameworks, tools & system to implement marketing strategies
·         Translation of Bank’s strategic plan into annual marketing strategies to support bank activities as well as enhanced brand and corporate image
·         Management of brand and product research and any other related survey.
·         Act as the Bank’s liaison for authorized communication by coordinating publications, press releases/media advisories as well as press conferences and other media events for coherence and uniformity of messaging.
·         Coordinate the marketing and corporate social responsibility aspects of the Bank in an efficient and effective manner.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication or any business related fields;
Relevant postgraduate qualification such as CIM.
·         Minimum of five years (5) relevant experience in similar role at middle management level.
·         Diploma in international relations and experience in public relations will be added advantages;
Age limit: Not more than 38 years
