Trade Finance Manager Job at Centenary Bank

Reports to: Chief Manager Business Growth
Centenary Bank, the leading Commercial Microfinance Bank in Uganda seeks to recruit suitably qualified, experienced and competent persons in the following fields;
Job Summary: To formulate and implementing strategies to grow the banks’ trade finance business portfolio in line with the banks business plan and the bank policies.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
·         Actively participate in pricing of Trade Finance products on a revenue/ expense basis and monitor collection of fees and commissions, whilst growing the revenue line.
·         Support the trade finance product roll out by defining the target market and selling to existing and prospective clients to achieve the volumes and revenues as per operating plan
·         Develop and communicate to other business units a trade product sales plan in line with the set targets and bank policy
·         Analyze and monitor market trends, Interpret customer requests and provide structured trade finance solutions tailored to particular customer needs in line with the bank’s policies and procedures
·         Conduct training and sensitization to bank staff /customers on trade finance products in line with the identified training needs
·         Conduct periodic visits/ meetings to achieve understanding of customer business needs intended to build a loyal trade finance customer base.
·         Develop policies and manuals for trade finance function, monitor adherence and recommend  procedural, process, policy and product changes required to meet customer expectations/needs and generate periodic status reports.
·         Manage the delivery of all trade Finance products across Small Medium Enterprises Clients, Retail Clients, Consumer Banking Clients and corporate Clients.
·         Monitor income collection and ensure no income leakage and growth of the asset book and income.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         Honor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics and other relevant courses from a recognized University.
·         5 years experience in trade finance related activities in a banking environment,
·         Knowledge of Key Risks and internal controls in a Banking environment.
·         Strong knowledge of trade finance products,
·         Customer Relationship management competencies.
·         Strong selling skills, with ability to develop strong cross functional working relationships with all support Head Office departments and branch network.
·         Understanding of country trade flows and regulatory requirements.
·         Good communication and Interpersonal skills High degree of integrity and confidentiality Ability to manage several deliverables in a timely and effective manner
·         Result orientedness and strong problem solving ability.
·         Ability to formulate unique solutions tailored to customer needs.
