NGO Jobs – Project Officer (District Liaison) at Mildmay

Job Summary: The position holder will be responsible for coordinating Health Systems Strengthening activities in respective districts as well as ensure linkages between Mildmay Uganda, the districts and implementing partners.
About Mildmay:
Mildmay Uganda is an HIV/AIDS treatment and training centre also providing Health Systems Strengthening to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services in 16 districts of Central Uganda. Situated on Entebbe Road, Lweza, south of Kampala, Mildmay Uganda is seeking applications from experienced and motivated people interested in a rewarding career undertaking the challenging roles.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         Bachelors Degree in Health related field with certificate of registration with relevant professional body.
·         S/he must have at least 3 years’ experience in clinical/community health work. Team management experience is an added advantage
·         He/she must have knowledge and experience of HIV/AIDS care as well as knowledge of Ministry of Health systems.
·         Ability to network and liaise with various partners is a requirement for this job.
·         Good communication and interpersonal skills.
·         Proficiency in various MS office packages and working knowledge of English and local language(s) are crucial.
·         Hard working, trust-worthy, and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
·         Must be flexible, reliable, able to work under pressure; and in sympathy with the Christian values of Mildmay Uganda.
·         Evidence of a non-judgemental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and lifestyle is critical.
