Job Title: Fluids Engineer

Job Summary: The Engineer works on an oil well drilling rig. It is his responsibility to oversee the drilling fluid, which lubricates the drill bits and clears cuttings away from the borehole

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·         S/He provides onsite services under general supervision by testing, measuring and supervising the operation of fluid pumping and mixing, which includes technical analysis in addition to specific product and practical recommendations for the control of fluid properties.
·         S/He is responsible for maintaining fluid properties on rig sites by accurately testing the properties of the fluid.
·         In addition, the S/He also maintains the inventory at customer well sites.
·         S/He is responsible for providing effectual customer service by giving coordinators and rig-site customers information related to the progress of a rig site in addition to creating and implementing solutions to various rig site problems.
·         S/He provides constant support to aid operations in providing customers the most efficient, environmentally safe drilling fluids that are available.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         A degree, diploma or certificate in a related field.
·         Self driven, organized, reliable with initiative.
·         Must have a mechanical background.
·         Experience on the rig will be an added advantage.
·         Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.
