World Vision Uganda is now seeking to hire
qualified persons to fill the following positions.
Job Summary:  To provide effective technical support to programmes during design,
planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of Child Protection priorities
in line with National Office goals and objectives.
Duties
& Responsibilities
  1. Policy Advocacy; Support
    child protection advocacy, policy dialogue and campaign interventions by
    ensuring linkages and coherence between engagements with Area Development
    Programmes (ADPs) and National levels, in the context of integrated ministry
    (IM).
  2.  Research, Documentation and Information sharing; Provide technical guidance to the ADPs in identifying areas for
    research, conducting research and ensuring documentation of outcomes for
    sharing at ADP and national levels.
  3. Child Protection programming; Promote the quality of Child Protection programming through
    participation in programme assessments, baselines, designs, implementation,
    monitoring, evaluation, programme reviews and annual review meetings.
  4. Capacity building; Provide technical guidance in capacity building for staff and/or
    partners in accordance with the developed capacity building plans/strategy at
    ADP and National levels.
  5.  Networking and Partnership; Participate in networking and partnership engagements and support
    ADPs and regions to engage in the same for effective child protection
    programming in line with Organizational strategies.
  6. Communication, Information and Education; Provide technical support in the development of Information,
    Education, and Communication (I.E.C) materials on child protection based on
    strategic issues and objectives of World Vision Uganda.
  7. Reporting: Ensure the preparation of quality and timely monthly, bi and annual
    Child Protection sector status reports.
  8. Participate in resource
    mobilization by initiating concepts and participating in writing quality and
    fundable proposals for child protection programming
    .
 Qualifications,
Skills and Experience
  • A
    Bachelors degree in Law, Social Sciences, and/or a related field of study.
  • Good
    communication  and interpersonal skills
  • Must
    have proven advocacy and documentation experience
  • Must
    have proven experience in policy analysis training
  • Must
    be able to travel extensively throughout Uganda
  • Ability to
    communicate fluently in writing and orally
