Reports to: Director – Partnership
Responsible for: Zonal coordinators
Purpose of the Job: To organize the Self Coordinating Entities (SCEs) in the Local Governments and Zonal Coordinating Units in the implementation of the national response to HIV/ AIDS.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To establish or strengthen partnership structures and systems at decentralized levels for coordinating the national response
- To provide technical support to SCEs in the coordination of the national response within the local governments
- To provide technical support and guidance in the development and implementation of strategies and approaches for HIV/AIDS including gender main-streaming
- To manage HIV/AIDS annual events at the district level
- To- conduct support supervision visits to both the Zonal Coordinators and the SCEs
- To monitor and evaluate activities of Zonal Coordinators and SCEs
- To prepare work plans, budgets and performance reports of the Zonal Coordination Units
- To prepare and submit timely reports by local governments in the national response.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Masters Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, Statistics, Economics, Social sciences or Humanities from a recognized institution.
- Experience
- A minimum of Eight (08) years working experience, Three (3) of which must have been at a senior level in Government, NGO or a reputable organization.
