Duties/Responsibilities:
· Plan and monitor the implementation of schools and institutions Inspection policies, procedures and programs in line with the K.C.CA Education Directorate and Ministry of Education and sports inspectorate guidelines
· Review and approve plans and budgets for the Pre-Primary and Primary Schools inspection programs in line with the established policies and procedures.
· Review schools’ and institutions inspection reports’ and make appropriate recommendations to improve the available compliance strategies in the Authority.
· Review and approve the implementation of programs for improvement of the performance of the Educational institutions in line with the Ministry of Education and Sports and KCCA guidelines
· Evaluate the effectiveness of the inspection programs and accordingly make appropriate recommendations in line with Directorate guidelines
· Manage the performance and development of staff in accordance with the Authority Performance Management guidelines
· Any other duties as maybe assigned by the appropriate Authorities
Minimum Qualification and Working Experience:
· An Honors Degree in Education or its equivalent from a recognized institution
· A Masters degree in Education Management or other related fields
· A minimum of 9 years’ teaching experience, 3 of which must have been in management of a recognized Education institution.
