dignity to them by providing holistically for their physical, spiritual and
emotional needs. Watoto has operations in Kampala, Wakiso, Mpigi and Gulu.
Job Summary: The Team
Leader, Strategic Initiatives will steer the assessment, development and
establishment of agreed initiatives and projects for the ministry.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Responsible
    for the formulation of the strategic plan for Watoto Ministries.
  • Support
    the Team Leader in the implementation of the strategic plan.
  • Shape
    organizational ideas into comprehensive project plans.
  • Coordinate
    and supervise the activities of personnel involved in the special projects
    in order to inspire and maintain high standards of work and clear
    accountability.
  • Manage
    process enhancements of departments and special projects as agreed by the
    Leadership Team in order to attain performance improvement.
  • Participate
    in the ongoing decisions of the Leadership Team.
  • Ensure
    regular reporting on key activities and issues to the Leadership Team.
  • Proactively
    build and align team members ‘capabilities, and resources for        achieving ministry objectives.
  • Establish
    effective relationships across all functions.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    applicant for the Watoto Team Leader, Strategic Initiatives job should
    hold a Project Management designation along with a degree in Business,
    Accounting, Engineering or a
    technically
    related field. A master’s degree in business management or organisational
    leadership is an added advantage.
  • The
    applicant needs to have a proven track record of at least five years in
    senior leadership positions of reputable organisations.
  • The
    ability to develop as well as drive strategy for growth.
  • Proven
    experience in supporting staff performance and development.
  • Excellent
    communication and influencing skills in order to address various
    stakeholders. Excellent leadership skills and ability to exercise
    judgement based on accurate and timely analysis.
  • A
    Christ-like mindset demonstrated by a meaningful commitment to Watoto
    Ministries.
