Job Summary: The Public
Health Engineering Officer- Electro Mechanic will conduct assessment, planning,
design and implementation of public health engineering components of the Oxfam
humanitarian WASH programme in line with the Oxfam’s strategy in Uganda.Ensure
PHE interventions are integrated into the entire emergency response program and
share learning across other sectors. To ensure that the promotion of women’s
rights is at the heart of all Oxfam in Uganda’s program work.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The
    ideal candidate for the Oxfam Public Health Engineering Officer- Electro
    Mechanic job must hold a Diploma in Electro-mechanics engineering
  • Five
    years of practical experience working in borehole hybrid pumped schemes
    with similar role and responsibilities preferably both in relief and
    development context.
  • Good
    knowledge and understanding of borehole hybrid pumping technology,
    including solar system, inverters, diesel engines, alternators, electric
    power production and be able to undertake electro-mechanical
    troubleshooting and fault finding of the same.
