Job Summary: The HR
Manager Performance & Training will support the performance management and
training functions of the bank
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Manages
    the development and implementation of the bank’s performance appraisal
    program and provide advice and recommendations to management and staff.
  • Maintain
    an accurate database of all financial and non-financial rewards given to
    staff for performance achievements.
  • Provide
    management with a quarterly report on staff performance ratings and
    rewards, including recommendations and analyses
  • Oversee
    the development and implementation of the bank’s core values, and key
    performance measures into performance appraisal system.
  • Provides
    ongoing oversight and support to ensure that performance measures are
    being used to effectively manage operations, identify and manage risks,
    and effect organizational change.
  • Develops
    and conducts presentations and training to management and staff on the
    performance appraisal system.
  • Provides
    training to all levels of staff on performance management system.
  • Handle
    developing and implementing bank’s performance improvement plans.
  • Manage
    and implement the training program for the bank both for external and
    internal trainings
  • Develop
    a talent program and maintain key talent of the bank.
  • Carry
    out assessments and gap analysis on employee skills and training.
  • Assess
    various staffing needs to determine methods to address current and future
    conditions, including retention management, realignment, recruitment
    planning, and career development.
  • Assists
    with developing training plans, identifying educational opportunities for
    employee development.
  • May
    assist with change management initiatives by conducting readiness
    assessments, job-impact analysis, and skill and capability assessments.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in
    Humanities and Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management is an
    added advantage
  • Five
    years of professional human resources generalist experience at a Managerial
    level.
  • Three
    years of direct experience developing, implementing or evaluating performance
    appraisal systems emphasis with Balance Score card
  • Excellent
    interpersonal, communication, analytical, counselling and decision making
    skills
  • Should
    be capable of assessing training needs and developing training plans and
    executing the plan
  • Should
    be to align human resource strategies to the business strategy
  • Should
    be knowledgeable about the labour legislations
  • Should
    be able to conduct salary/benefits surveys
  • Experience
    developing employee performance measures.
  • Previous
    experience providing training to managers and/or employees on performance
    management systems.
