Job Summary: The Data Centre
Manager will support the setting up of the data centre, training of data entry
supervisors and clerks provide ongoing support and supervise the implementation
of post-distribution check-up (PDCU) activities.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant for the Malaria Consortium Data
    Centre Manager job opportunity should hold a Master’s Degree in Public
    Heath, Statistics or IT
  • Previous experience in the design,
    development and implementation of variety of data management tools
    including databases, spreadsheets and websites.
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience designing and conducting
    training courses
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
    as well as collaboratively in a team, particularly with Ministries of
    Health and/or other government sectors and partners
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication
    skills, including ability to work and interact with government and
    non-government colleagues and partners
  • Good organizational skills to support
    documentation, reporting of data, and dissemination of information
  • Working knowledge of various statistical
    programmes (e.g., Epilnfo, STAT A, SPSS, SAS, etc)
  • Strong database development skills using
    ACCESS, MySQL or similar
  • Keen attention to detail
